Commemorative Publications

Well written commemorative publications bring the story of the organisation to life in a way that feels true to its journey. Over the years, W4H has helped companies capture these moments, working closely with teams to turn abstract milestones into a narrative that resonates. Each project is a careful balance: honouring the past, celebrating the present and setting the tone for what’s next. We approach every publication with fresh eyes, finding the details that make each story stand out, ensuring it’s memorable for the people who made it possible.

CELEBRATING SIXTY LUSH YEARS

For Singapore Polytechnic’s 60th anniversary, we helped bring a fresh idea to life in the form of a commemorative book celebrating the lush flora and fauna of the campus. With a theme rooted in the natural beauty around the institution grounds, we worked closely with their passionate team, including plant enthusiasts and budding botanists, to edit and style a publication as vibrant as the grounds it celebrate. The result was a unique tribute that captures both the spirit of the campus and the character of Singapore Polytechnic’s community.

A BOOK OF LETTERS

"Hope in 50 Letters" is a commemorative project by KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) that celebrates Singapore's 50th anniversary. In collaboration with design house Epigram, Writers4Hire assembled a team of writers to interview 50 individuals whose lives were touched by KKH. These included beneficiaries, board members, staff, ministers, and patients and their families. Notable individuals featured include Professor Phua Kong Boo, a dedicated paediatrician with over 40 years of service; Madam Saleha Kamsan, a midwife who began delivering babies at the hospital in 1972; Madam Baldeep Kaur, the first patient in Singapore to undergo an intrauterine blood transfusion in 1993, a procedure that saved her second son; and Mr. Jimmy Yeo, a founding member of the Caring Clowns Unit, who regularly brings joy and laughter to children in the hospital's paediatric wards. Each interview was crafted into a personal letter to the hospital, resulting in a heartfelt collection that reflects the gratitude, resilience and connection within the KKH community, a fitting tribute to the lives touched by Singapore’s renowned women’s and children’s hospital.

ALL THE PRESIDENT'S WINNERS

Our team had the honour of writing the winner profiles for the prestigious President’s Design Award Singapore. We conducted in-depth interviews with each award-winning designer to capture their unique perspectives and creative journeys. From these conversations, we crafted the official citations, highlighting their achievements and contributions to design in Singapore, and ensuring each profile eflected the impact of their work.
